Vader, Wim; Tandberg, Anne Helene Solberg (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-09-02)
We present an updated survey of the Amphipoda that live in association with sea anemones. These amphipods can be divided into four groups: 1) symbiotic amphipods using sea anemones mainly for protection, but feeding largely independently; 2) amphipods feeding on sea anemones, but not permanently associated; 3) symbiotic amphipods living permanently among the tentacles of the sea anemones; and 4) ...
    • Exitomelita sigynae gen. et sp. nov. : a new amphipod from the Arctic Loki Castle vent field with potential gill ectosymbionts

Tandberg, Anne Helene Solberg; Rapp, Hans Tore; Schander, Christoffer; Vader, Wim; Sweetman, Andrew Kvassnes; Berge, Jørgen (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2011)
The newly discovered deep-sea hydrothermal vent field “Loki’s Castle” at 2,350 m depth at 70°N on the Knipovich Ridge north of the island Jan Mayen is the only known black smoker field from the Arctic Ridge system. This vent field holds a unique fauna clearly distinct from vent sites along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge south of Iceland. In addition to numerous maldanid and ampharetid polychaetes one animal ...
    • Gammarid amphipods (Crustacea) in Norway, with a key to the species

Vader, Wim; Tandberg, Anne Helene Solberg (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2019-02-28)
Thirteen species in the amphipod family Gammaridae have been reported from Norway. This paper gives a survey of the distribution and habitat of all 13 species of the family Gammaridae occurring or expected to occur in Norwegian waters: both marine, brackish and fresh, including Svalbard, in addition to four species found in close neighbouring waters. It also provides a short history of the study of ...
