An analysis of the current legal framework with respect to litter deriving from rivers. The two only global watercourse conventions are studied, as well as the UN Law of the Sea Convention. The relationships of the two regimes are analysed, and thereafter it is looked into whether there are any unregulated areas. When determining what the substantial obligations are, it is also looked into whether there exists any general accepted rules or standards.en_US
