dc.description.abstractThe paper reviews thermographic and vibrothermography applications such as cold climate operations, determine the temperature profile of steel samples under tensile testing and perform composites Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). This review paper discusses studies, where IR thermography has been used effectively in research and development projects at the UiT The Arctic University of Norway and AGH UST. The applications discussed in this work are to determine:<p><p> - Thermal conductivity and heat transfer coefficient of freshwater and marine ice<p> - An industrial solution for detecting icing<p> - Relative required insulation (IREQ) of apparels<p> - Variation of tensile strength and surface temperature of steel samples under tensile testing under cold temperatures<p> - Vibrothermography for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of compositesen_US
