    • Zonal Wave Number Diagnosis of Rossby Wave-Like Oscillations Using Paired Ground-Based Radars

He, Maosheng; Yamazaki, Yosuke; Hoffmann, Peter; Hall, Chris; Tsutsumi, Masaki; Li, Guozhu; Chau, Jorge L. (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-05-03)
Free traveling Rossby wave normal modes (RNMs) are often investigated through large-scale space-time spectral analyses, which therefore is subject to observational availability, especially in the mesosphere. Ground-based mesospheric observations were broadly used to identify RNMs mostly according to the periods of RNMs without resolving their horizontal scales. The current study diagnoses zonal ...
    • Some new (Hp,Lp) type inequalitiesof maximal operators of Vilenkin-Nörlund means with non-decreasing coefficients

Persson, Lars Erik; Tephanadze, G; Wall, Peter (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2015-12)
In this paper we prove and discuss some new (Hp,Lp) type inequalities of maximal operators of Vilenkin-Nörlund means with non-decreasing coefficients. We also apply these inequalities to prove strong convergence theorems of such Vilenkin-N ¨orlund means. These inequalities are the best possible in a special sense. As applications, both some well-known and new results are pointed out.
    • Fysisk aktivitet, risikofaktorer for hjerte- og karsykdommer og risiko for tidlig død blant samer og nordmenn i Finnmark

Hermansen, Rune Hermann; Jacobsen, Bjarne K. (Chapter; Bokkapittel, 2022-03-16)
