Colonic distribution of FMT by different enema procedures compared to colonoscopy – proof of concept study using contrast fluid
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-10-23)Background Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has become an important treatment method in recurrent Clostridioides difficile infections and is under investigation as a treatment for several other diseases. FMT’s mechanism of action is assumed to be through alterations of the colon microbiota. FMT can be delivered by several methods, but few studies have directly compared how FMT is distributed ... -
Statistical experiment analysis of wear and mechanical behaviour of abaca/sisal fiber-based hybrid composites under liquid nitrogen environment
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-08-04)Ice accretion on various onshore and offshore infrastructures imparts hazardous effects sometimes beyond repair, which may be life-threatening. Therefore, it has become necessary to look for ways to detect and mitigate ice. Some ice mitigation techniques have been tested or in use in aviation and railway sectors, however, their applicability to other sectors/systems is still in the research phase. ... -

Automatic identification of chemical moieties
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-08-30)In recent years, the prediction of quantum mechanical observables with machine learning methods has become increasingly popular. Message-passing neural networks (MPNNs) solve this task by constructing atomic representations, from which the properties of interest are predicted. Here, we introduce a method to automatically identify chemical moieties (molecular building blocks) from such representations, ... -
Bulky, electron-rich, renewable: analogues of Beller's phosphine for cross-couplings
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-10-30)In recent years, considerable progress has been made in the conversion of biomass into renewable chemicals, yet the range of value-added products that can be formed from biomass remains relatively small. Herein, we demonstrate that molecules available from biomass serve as viable starting materials for the synthesis of phosphine ligands, which can be used in homogeneous catalysis. Specifically, ... -
Involvement of A13 dopaminergic neurons in prehensile movements but not reward in the rat
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-10-09)Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH)-containing neurons of the dopamine (DA) cell group A13 are well positioned to impact known DA-related functions as their descending projections innervate target regions that regulate vigilance, sensory integration, and motor execution. Despite this connectivity, little is known regarding the functionality of A13-DA circuits. Using TH-specific loss-of-function methodology ... -
Complex Systems Methods Characterizing Nonlinear Processes in the Near-Earth Electromagnetic Environment: Recent Advances and Open Challenges
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-07-12)Learning from successful applications of methods originating in statistical mechanics, complex systems science, or information theory in one scientific field (e.g., atmospheric physics or climatology) can provide important insights or conceptual ideas for other areas (e.g., space sciences) or even stimulate new research questions and approaches. For instance, quantification and attribution of ... -
Factors affecting point-of-care ultrasound implementation in general practice: A survey in Danish primary care clinics
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-10-17)Objective The implementation of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in general practice varies, but it is unknown what determines this variation. The purpose of this study was to explore (1) the overall proportion of POCUS-users among general practitioners (GPs), (2) the current use of POCUS by GPs, (3) factors related to the implementation of POCUS in general practice and (4) GPs’ concerns related ... -
Intelligent self- and reconfigurable manufacturing system
(Doctoral thesis; Doktorgradsavhandling, 2023-12-12)Over the past few years, the market has shifted away from mass production towards mass customization and personalized production. This shift has made it necessary for manufacturing companies to change their manufacturing line more frequently, which can be both expensive and time-consuming. To overcome this challenge, reconfigurable manufacturing systems (RMS) have been proposed as a solution. However, ... -
Arts-based pathways for sustainable transformation towards a more equal world
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-11-22)The cultural sector is a potential instigator of change due to its experimental, performative, and relational nature. However, like everywhere else, the cultural sector re-enacts and thus conserves inequalities of various kinds through its outreach to wider audiences and its deep engagement in socio-cultural practices. By taking our actions within the ERASMUS+ project ‘Voices of Women’ as a ... -
SLE classification criteria: Is “The causality principle” integrated and operative – and do the molecular and genetical network, on which criteria depend on, support the definition of SLE as “a one disease entity” – A theoretical discussion
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-10-24)Molecular and cellular aspects of the autoimmune pathophysiology in SLE is linked to the “The causality principle”. SLE Classification Criteria identify per definition disease measures (here: synonymous with classification criteria), but not diagnostic criteria within a classical framework. These two mostly theoretical criteria collections represent a salient conflict between phenomenology and the ... -
Dementia as a material for co-creative art making: Towards feminist posthumanist caring
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-09-28)This article generates new understandings of dementia through feminist posthumanist and performative engagements with co-creative artmaking practices during a six-month study in a residential care home in Norway. Dementia emerges within multisensorial entanglements of more-than-human materials in three different artmaking sessions, which first materialized in the form of collective photographs and ... -
Oppfatninger om at ... -
Tvang i psykiatrisk sykehus
