Studentevalueringspraksis til det beste for studenters læring?
Abstract
This chapter explores how student course evaluation can potentially be strengthened as a pedagogical practice and be more actively used in teaching improvement that benefits students’ learning. Moreover, we explore the role academic developers can have in student evaluation practice. The chapter builds on an interview study of twelve Norwegian academic developers and leaders of academic development units. The results are analyzed and discussed by using a learning-oriented student evaluation framework in which evaluation is included in constructive alignment as system alignment. We argue that academic developers should play an active role in including student course evaluation as part of pedagogical practice. In the chapter, we present a framework that can guide and support stakeholders involved in evaluation in a learning-oriented evaluation practice.
