dc.description.abstract | This thesis focuses on the transparency obligations under the Artificial Intelligence Act (AIA) for providers of General-Purpose AI (GPAI) models towards downstream AI system providers. The research question is how and to what extent a provider of a GPAI model must be transparent about the GPAI model to comply with Article 53 (1) (b) of the AIA. To answer the research question, the thesis will analyse the stringent regime for GPAI models intended to be incorporated into high-risk AI systems. It will also analyse the fundamental objectives of imposing transparency obligations on GPAI providers, the scope of the requirements under Article 53 (1) (b), how GPAI providers can comply with the transparency requirement and assess the feasibility of the compliance measures. | en_US |
