Abstract
The aim of the study was to study the prognostic impact of miRNAs in non-GIST soft tissue sarcoma. The method used was microarray-based miRNA expression profiling of all verified human miRNAs on a selected number of samples. Selection criteria was time of survival (long and short).
Then, the significance of miR-126 expression for disiease-specific survival in the total patient cohort of non-GIST STS was decided to be explored. miR-126 is known to be a key factor in tumor development for many carcinomas, but the role of miR-126 in sarcoma is less well described. That was the reason for selecting miR-126.
