"Kle av serken og dans spille naken". Betydninga av kjønn i tradisjonsmusikken.
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2018-03-07)This article attempts to investigate how Norwegian traditional music is gendered. There have been few such investigations in the past. Some songs are work songs and function as a tool to lighten the work itself. Each song is created for either men's work, or women's. Other songs describe the actual conditions for men or women. There exist, for example, some songs which illustrate how women had to ... -
Phase transfer catalyzed conjugate addition-initiated ring-closure (CAIRC) reactions with 2-bromo-2-cyclopentenones
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2017-05-07)When 2-bromo-2-cyclopentenone is treated with various carbon nucleophiles containing active methylenes, it undergoes a conjugate addition initiated-ring closure (CAIRC) reaction. This leads to the formation of carboand heterocyclic compounds in a regioselective fashion with good to high yield. Several bases and phase transfer catalysts were investigated. CsF-Si(OEt)4 as base together with ... -

Byron´s Corsair and the Boundaries of Sympathy
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2018-02)Contemporary reviewers of Byron’s work often noted his skill in cultivating sympathy for outlaw figures – a skill that was admired, but also worried over since it implied sympathy’s independence from a moral code. Recent scholarship about sympathy in the Romantic period has not focused much on Byron, but this essay highlights acomplexity and originality in his invocation of sympathy that has been ... -

Musculoskeletal injury symptoms among hired Latinx child farmworkers in North Carolina
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2021-05-18)Background - Although children 10–17 years can be hired to work in agriculture, little research has addressed possible musculoskeletal injuries. Children may be at particular risk for these injuries because of the repetitive and load bearing nature of work tasks. Existing research relies on child workers to self-report musculoskeletal injuries.<p> <p>Methods - In 2017, 202 Latinx child farmworkers ... -
Detection of DHCMT long-term metabolite glucuronides with LC-MSMS as an alternative approach to conventional GC-MSMS analysis
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2022-02-17)Dehydrochloromethyltestosterone (DHCMT) is one of the most detected illicit used anabolic–androgenic steroids in professional sports. Therefore, a fast and accurate analysis of this substance is of great importance for a constructive fight against doping abuse. The conventional method for the analysis of this drug, GC-MSMS, is very sensitive and selective but also very time- and resource-consuming. ... -
