    • Fit-Twin: A Digital Twin of a User with Wearables and Context as Input for Health Promotion

Sulaiman, Muhammad; Håkansson, Anne; Karlsen, Randi (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023)
Digital health contributes to health promotion by empowering the user with the holistic view of their health. Health promotion is to enable the user to take control over their health. The availability of wearables has contributed to the shift in healthcare, that is more connected, predictive, and proactive. Proactive in healthcare is to predict and prevent a situation, beforehand. This shift in ...
    • Some new (Hp – Lp) type inequalities for weighted maximal operators of partial sums of Walsh–Fourier series

Baramidze, Davit; Persson, Lars-Erik; Tephnadze, George (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel, 2023-05-16)
In this paper we introduce some new weighted maximal operators of the partial sums of the Walsh–Fourier series. We prove that for some “optimal” weights these new operators indeed are bounded from the martingale Hardy space <i>Hp(G)</i> to the Lebesgue space <i>Lp(G)</i>, for 0&#60;p&#60;1. Moreover, we also prove sharpness of this result. As a consequence we obtain some new ...
    • Exploring the determinants of reinvestment decisions: Sense of personal responsibility, preferences, and loss framing

Doerflinger, Johannes T.; Martiny-Huenger, Torsten; Gollwitzer, Peter M. (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel, 2023-01-12)
Two potentially costly errors are common in sequential investment decisions: sticking too long to a failing course of action (escalation of commitment), and abandoning a successful course of action prematurely. Past research has mostly focused on escalation of commitment, and identified three critical determinants: personal responsibility, preferences for prior decisions, and decision framing. We ...
    • S-BIRD: A Novel Critical Multi-Class Imagery Dataset for Sewer Monitoring and Maintenance Systems

Patil, Ravindra Rajaram; Mustafa, Mohamad; Calay, Rajnish K; Ansari, Saniya M. (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-03-09)

Lotherington, Ann Therese; Obstfelder, Aud Uhlen (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel, 2023-05-10)
Citizenship and dementia studies have, during the last 15 years, grown into a substantial body of research recognising the experiences and agentic powers of people living with dementia. This article aims to contribute to and extend this research field. We undertake the aim through a feminist posthumanist non-representational analysis of a diary written by a man with Alzheimer's disease to explore ...

    • Training in shared decision-making for registered nurses taking a master’s degree and/or a postgraduate programme

Kienlin, Simone Maria; Amro, Amin Abdul-Galeel; Øverlie, Anne; Kasper, Jürgen (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-01-03)
Background: Registered nurses play a decisive role in supporting patients to participate in decisions on their own health, also referred to as shared decision-making. Official recommendations and up-to-date knowledge demonstrate that, although shared decision-making is necessary for patients, there are few training programmes within or outside the education system that can meet this need for ...
    • Pårørende på intensivavdelinger i Norge før og under covid-19-pandemien

Alfheim, Hanne Birgit; Frivold, Gro; Lind, Ranveig; Jensen, Hanne Irene (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-05-02)

Bigseth, Therese Torgersen; Engh, John Bjarne Abel; Andersen, Eivind; Bang-Kittilsen, Gry; Egeland, Jens; Falk, Ragnhild Sørum; Holmen, Tom Langerud; Mordal, Jon; Nielsen, Jimmi; Ueland, Thor; Vang, Torkel; Fredriksen, Mats (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-05-11)
Background: In individuals with schizophrenia, inflammation is associated with depression, somatic comorbidity and reduced quality of life. Physical exercise is known to reduce inflammation in other populations, but we have only limited knowledge in the field of schizophrenia. We assessed inflammatory markers in plasma samples from individuals with schizophrenia participating in an exercise intervention ...
    • Dramafaglige estetiske læreprosesser for fremtidens klasseledere – en studie av lærerstudenters erfaringer med dramaundervisning i utdanningen

Caglayan, Safak; Hansen, John Bjarne; Snir, Omri (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-02-15)
Background - A comprehensive dissection of the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in gene regulation and subsequent cell functions requires a specific and efficient knockdown or overexpression of the miRNA of interest; these are achieved by transfecting the cell of interest with a miRNA inhibitor or a miRNA mimic, respectively. Inhibitors and mimics of miRNAs with a unique chemistry and/or structural ...
    • Fifteen research needs for understanding climate change impacts on ecosystems and society in the Norwegian High North

    • Neural mechanisms of the wandering mind

Groot, Josephine Maria (Doctoral thesis; Doktorgradsavhandling, 2023-09-22)
The human mind wanders spontaneously and pervasively throughout daily life, pursuing trains of thought that are untethered to the world around us. Although mapping the many facets of mind wandering has become a compelling objective in the cognitive neurosciences, researchers have yet to achieve a congruous mechanistic account of its neurobiological underpinnings. In this thesis, a multidisciplinary ...
