This thesis is a study of data material extracted from log files belonging to the oil and gas installation Norne. The data is put into a system, analyzed, and assessed how it can be used to drive performance monitoring of electrical switches. The thesis presents theory related to the task about ignition source, tag, maintenance and time determinations, the systems SAS and SMS on which the logs are based, BFP, SIMOCODE and the software platform Microsoft Power Platform. It is presented how the current maintenance of electrical switches takes place on the Norne platform. Furthermore, the data flow in two of the systems on board is presented, before an incident of ignition source disconnection is analyzed using logs and internal documents. The data that is available in the logs and which part of it is useful to use in a tool is presented as a proposal. The main object of the thesis is to develop a tool in Microsoft Power Apps that captures tripping of electrical switches, by monitoring data in the log files and that registers the event as a functional test. There is a requirement to carry out functional tests of electrical switches at given time intervals as part of the maintenance. The company Equinor is experiencing challenges related to this and wanted a solution to the problem. The proposed solution is a digital tool that automates the registration to drive performance monitoring of electrical switches. The idea behind the tool, how it can be designed, filtered and handling of collected data and proposals for solutions for functions and setup in Microsoft Power Apps are presented. It has been difficult to construct the tool within the given time frames, therefore I discuss the challenges associated with the data and the construction., In the conclusion I have made suggestions about what is needed to be successful in the future.en_US
