On the Heat and Wave Equations with the Sturm-Liouville Operator in Quantum Calculus
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-01-19)In this paper, we explore a generalised solution of the Cauchy problems for the q-heat and q-wave equations which are generated by Jackson’s and the q-Sturm-Liouville operators with respect to t and x, respectively. For this, we use a new method, where a crucial tool is used to represent functions in the Fourier series expansions in a Hilbert space on quantum calculus. We show that these solutions ... -
Conceptual design of cost-effective ice detection system based on infrared thermography

Ice Accretion on Rotary-Wing Unmanned Aerial Vehicles—A Review Study
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-03-08)Ice accretion on rotary-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (RWUAVs) needs to be studied separately from the fixed-wing UAVs because of the additional flow complexities induced by the propeller rotation. The aerodynamics of rotatory wings are extremely challenging compared to the fixed-wing configuration. Atmospheric icing can be considered a hazard that can plague the operation of UAVs, especially in the ... -
Deep Adaptive Ensemble Filter for Non-Intrusive Residential Load Monitoring
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-02-10)Identifying flexible loads, such as a heat pump, has an essential role in a home energy management system. In this study, an adaptive ensemble filtering framework integrated with long short-term memory (LSTM) is proposed for identifying flexible loads. The proposed framework, called AEFLSTM, takes advantage of filtering techniques and the representational power of LSTM for load disaggregation by ... -

Some new refinements of the Young, Hölder, and Minkowski inequalities
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-02-21)We prove and discuss some new refined Hölder inequalities for any p>1 and also a reversed version for 0<p<1. The key is to use the concepts of superquadraticity, strong convexity, and to first prove the corresponding refinements of the Young and reversed Young inequalities. Refinements of the Minkowski and reversed Minkowski inequalities are also given. -

Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight ... -
TRACKING VOLUME CHANGE OF THE BULK COMMODITIES WITH INTERFEROMETRIC SAR
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023)Bulk commodities are crucial to global economy and modern society. Some commodities, such as grain, are normally stored in cylindrical tanks. The height of the tank’s roof may be correlated to the substance quantity inside the tank, indicating that roof displacement may be associated with the volume of the bulk commodities. Here we analyzed the displacements derived from C-band Sentinel-1 data ... -
Some weak type inequalities and almost everywhere convergence of Vilenkin–Nörlund means
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2023-05-04)We prove and discuss some new weak type (1, 1) inequalities of maximal operators of Vilenkin–Nörlund means generated by monotone coefficients. Moreover, we use these results to prove a.e. convergence of such Vilenkin–Nörlund means. As applications, both some well-known and new inequalities are pointed out. -
