dc.description.abstract | The Iranian Revolution and the Imposed War (Iran-Iraq War 1980-1988) and the years that followed led to inception of various cultural and social conditions in Iran. Following the formation of new intellectual and ideological movements, the art movements underwent many transformations. Consequently, arts universities began to teach various fields of arts, and a new chapter of artistic photography was begun. As the arts universities and institutions developed, people started to view the art movements differently, and this allowed women to play a more active role in this field. The present paper aims to identify Post-Revolution Iranian female photographers and analyze their artworks, investigate the position and direction of the modern photography in Iran, identify the most prominent Post-Revolutionary female photographers, and study their perspective on objects. The author also aims to investigate the subjects most popular among these photographers, examine the effects of Iran's Post-Revolution culture on their artworks, and identify its signs. The artwork collection of five photographers, namely Maryam Zandi, Rana Javadi, Shadi Ghadirian, Azadeh Akhlaghi, and Newsha Tavakolian were considered in this text. | en_US |
