    • Boron concentrations and isotopic compositions in methane-derived authigenic carbonates: Constraints and limitations in reconstructing formation conditions

Hong, Wei-Li; Lepland, Aivo; Kirsimäe, Kalle; Crémière, Antoine; Rae, James W.B. (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2021-12-23)
The boron content and isotopic composition (δ11B), of marine carbonates have the potential to constrain CO2 chemistry during carbonate growth conditions. However, obtaining and interpreting boron compositions from authigenic carbonates in geological archives present several challenges that may substantially limit their application. In particular, contamination from non-carbonate ...

Conte, R; Rebesco, Michele; De Santis, Laura; Colleoni, Florence; Bensi, Manuel; Bergamasco, Alessandro; Kovačević, Vedrana; Gales, Jenny A.; Zgur, Fabrizio; Accettella, Daniela; de Steur, Laura; Ursella, Laura; Mckay, Robert M.; Kim, Seongjoong; Lucchi, Renata Giulia (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2021-08-05)
In this paper we analyze how oceanic circulation affects sediment deposition along a sector of the Ross Sea continental margin, between the Iselin Bank and the Hillary Canyon, and how these processes evolved since the Late Miocene. The Hillary Canyon is one of the few places around the Antarctic continental margin where the dense waters produced onto the continental shelf, mainly through brine ...
    • Boundaries for career success? How work–home integration and perceived supervisor expectation affect careers

Unger, Dana; Kornblum, Angelika; Grote, Gudela; Hirschi, Andreas (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2022-12-03)
The necessity to actively manage the work–home boundaries has drastically increased. We postulate that work–home integration may affect individuals' subjective career success via its positive effects on work goal attainment and exhaustion. Furthermore, we study perceived supervisor expectation for employee work–home integration as a boundary condition. Our three-wave online survey with 371 employees ...

Asche, Frank; Sogn-Grundvåg, Geir; Zhang, Dengjun; Cojocaru, Andreea-Laura; Young, James A. (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2021-01-19)
In recent years, the number of ecolabels and country-of-origin labels has grown substantially in seafood markets globally. This makes it more difficult for retailers and producers to communicate and demonstrate their differentiating claims to consumers. In addition, it has recently been suggested that there are both costs and supply chain benefits associated with labeling. This paper uses duration ...

Ilieva, Iliana; Bremdal, Bernt Arild; Puranik, Sanket (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2019-05)
As the challenges associated with sustainability, urbanization, life quality and demography become more imminent, companies are adapting to the changing requirements by means of revised strategic approaches. Thus, enterprises are increasingly deviating from the traditionally absolute priority of maximizing total return for shareholders. While this priority is still important, businesses are also ...
    • Broadening the perspective on ocean privatizations: an interdisciplinary social science enquiry

Schülter, Achim; Bavinck, Jan Maarten; Hadjimichael, Maria; Partelow, Stefan; Said, Alicia; Ertör, Irmak (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020)
Privatization of the ocean, in the sense of defining more exclusive property rights, is taking place in increasingly diverse ways. Because of more intensive and diversified use patterns and increasing sustainability challenges, it is likely that this process will continue into the future. We argue that the nature of privatization varies from one oceanic domain to another. We differentiate four ...

Brattli, Tore (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel, 1997-10)

Conzett, Philipp (Conference object; Konferansebidrag, 2016-11-16)
