dc.description.abstract | In June 2016,the Norwegian EnvironmentAgencyrequestedthe Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food Safety (VKM) to conducta literature reviewregardingdevelopment of bacterial resistance to biocides and heavy metals and cross-resistance to antimicrobial agents(e.g.,antibiotics)in bacteria, with the following mandate: <br><br>1.List chemical substancesthat may contribute to increased antimicrobial resistance.<br><br>2.Describe the substanceslisted in question 1 that are used/in use in Norway and assess which fieldsof applications that have the potential tocontribute to increased resistance.<br><br>3.Range the substancesaccording to field of application that is assumed to have the strongest effect on development of resistance, based on characteristics and amount used.<br><br>4.Identify knowledge gaps according to the effectof these substanceson development of resistance. | en_US |

Liste opp hvilke kjemiske stoffer som kan ha resistensdrivende effekt hos mikroorganismer.<br><br>2. Beskrive hvilke av disse kjemiske stoffene som er brukt/brukes i Norge, og vurdere hvilkebruksområder som potensielt kan ha resistensdrivende effekt.<br><br>3. Foreta en rangering av hvilke kjemiske stoffer og bruksområder somantas å være mest resistensdrivende, basert på stoffenes egenskaper og bruksomfang i Norge.<br><br>4.
