      We report on methane (CH<sub>4)</sub> stable isotope (d<sup>13</sup>C and d<sup>2</sup> H) measurements from landfast sea ice collected near Barrow (Utqiagvik, Alaska) and Cape Evans (Antarctica) over the winter-to-spring transition.
