The concentrations of dioxins (0.53 ± 0.12 pg toxic equivalents (TEQ)/g), dioxin-like ... -
A polymatroid approach to generalized weights of rank metric codes
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-09-15)We consider the notion of a (<i>q,m)</i>-polymatroid, due to Shiromoto, and the more general notion of (<i>q,m</i>)-demi-polymatroids, and show how generalized weights can be defined for them. Further, we establish a duality for these weights analogous to Wei duality for generalized Hamming weights of linear codes. The corresponding results of Ravagnani for Delsarte rank metric codes, and Martínez-Peñas ... -
Robustness of SAR Sea Ice Type classification across incidence angles and seasons at L-band
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel, 2020-11-16)In recent years, space-borne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) polarimetry has become a valuable tool for sea ice type retrieval. L-band SAR has proven to be sensitive toward deformed sea ice and is complementary compared with operationally used C-band SAR for sea ice type classification during the early and advanced melt seasons. Here, we employ an artificial neural network (ANN)-based sea ice type ... -
Relative generalized Hamming weights of affine Cartesian codes
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-03-10)We explicitly determine all the relative generalized Hamming weights of affine Cartesian codes using the notion of footprints and results from extremal combinatorics. This generalizes the previous works on the determination of relative generalized Hamming weights of Reed–Muller codes by Geil and Martin, as well as the determination of all the generalized Hamming weights of the affine Cartesian codes ... -
Is working in a cold environment associated with musculoskeletal complaints 7–8 years later? A longitudinal analysis from the Tromsø Study

This study aims to determine the association between working in a cold environment ≥ 25% of the time and musculoskeletal complaints (MSC) 7–8 years later.<p> <p><i>Methods</i> - We followed participants from the sixth survey (Tromsø ... -
Non-radiologist-performed point-of-care ultrasonography in paediatrics — European Society of Paediatric Radiology position paper
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-11-19)Non-radiologist point-of-care ultrasonography (US) is increasingly implemented in paediatric care because it is believed to facilitate a timely diagnosis, such as in ascites or dilated renal pelvicalyceal systems, and can be used to guide interventional procedures. To date, all policy statements have been published by non-radiologic societies. The European Society of Paediatric Radiology hereby ... -
Amyloid plaques and symptoms of depression links to medical help-seeking due to subjective cognitive decline
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-06-02)<i>Background:</i> Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) is associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). However, patients reporting SCD to their general practitioner are not always referred to a memory clinic.<p> <p><i>Objective:</i> To investigate whether prior history of medical help-seeking is associated with AD biomarker abnormality, worse cognitive performance, and/or depressive ... -
Chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis — clinical and magnetic resonance imaging features
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-10-09)<i>Background</i> - Chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis (CNO) is a rare autoinflammatory bone disorder. Little information exists on the use of imaging techniques in CNO.<p> <p><i>Materials and methods</i> - We retrospectively reviewed clinical and MRI findings in children diagnosed with CNO between 2012 and 2018. Criteria for CNO included unifocal or multifocal inflammatory bone lesions, symptom ... -
Integrability via Geometry: Dispersionless Differential Equations in Three and Four Dimensions
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-11-25)We prove that the existence of a dispersionless Lax pair with spectral parameter for a nondegenerate hyperbolic second order partial differential equation (PDE) is equivalent to the canonical conformal structure defined by the symbol being Einstein–Weyl on any solution in 3D, and self-dual on any solution in 4D. The first main ingredient in the proof is a characteristic property for dispersionless ... -
Homogeneous Levi non-degenerate hypersurfaces in C3
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-06-09)We classify all (locally) homogeneous Levi non-degenerate real hypersurfaces in C3 with symmetry algebra of dimension ≥6. -
Blow-ups and infinitesimal automorphisms of CR-manifolds
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-03-07)For a real-analytic connected CR-hypersurface M of CR-dimension n⩾1 having a point of Levi-nondegeneracy the following alternative is demonstrated for its symmetry algebra s=s(M): (i) either dims=n2+4n+3 and M is spherical everywhere; (ii) or dims⩽n2+2n+2+δ2,n and in the case of equality M is spherical and has fixed signature of the Levi form in the complement to its Levi-degeneracy locus. A version ... -
The Emergent Nature of Networked Sustainable Procurement
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-12-25)The complex and networked nature of sustainable procurement is evoked through confronting two conceptual models, the triple bottom line-inspired parallel-type “interlocking circles model” with the more systems-oriented series-type “concentric circles model”. This endeavor is integrated with a developed application of contingency theory rooted in network thinking. Two subcase narratives from Ghana, ... -
Exploring the use of content analysis methodology in consumer research
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-12-16)Content analysis is a viable way to thematise consumer experiences. The purpose of this review study is to examine the use of content analysis in consumer research (1977–2017). The authors explore <i>how</i> content analysis has been used. The reviewed studies address consumer experiences. The results show that qualitative content analysis is not used as a method in its own right; it is more often ... -

Intestinal epithelial cells express immunomodulatory ISG15 during active ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-02-05)<i>Background and Aims</i> - Intestinal epithelial cells [IECs] secrete cytokines that recruit immune cells to the mucosa and regulate immune responses that drive inflammation in inflammatory bowel disease [IBD]. However, experiments in patient-derived IEC models are still scarce. Here, we aimed to investigate how innate immunity and IEC-specific pattern recognition receptor [PRR] signalling can be ... -
Examining the accuracy of trackways for predicting gait selection and speed of locomotion
(Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-05-27)Using Froude numbers (<i>Fr</i>) and relative stride length (stride length: hip height), trackways have been widely used to determine the speed and gait of an animal. This approach, however, is limited by the ability to estimate hip height accurately and by the lack of information related to the substrate properties when the tracks were made, in particular for extinct fauna. By studying the Svalbard ... -
