Sammendrag
This chapter presents and analyses the development of Buddhist temple food in South Korea. The cocreation of experiences with its two resources base of operant and operand serves as the underpinning theoretical backbone of the chapter. Employing document research, data are composed of (1) temple food ebook by the Cultural Corps of Korean Buddhism, Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and (2) 473 web blog posts on temple food on Korean portal sites. Based on conventional and directed content analyses, that is, counting and comparisons of contents, followed by giving attention to identified theory or earlier results, the intricately intertwined nature of operant (Korean culture and history) and operand (food ingredients and related materials) resources of the Korean temple food is discussed. The chapter contributes to a better understanding of the concept of cocreation in developing PBF markets, utilising the South Korean context of Buddhist temple food trends in the 21st century.
