Taha, Sidra (Master thesis; Mastergradsoppgave, 2021-06-08)
In this project we developed a web portal for students and by students in order to be able to help each other understanding coding in the different subjects across fields of study. The web portal is implemented using HTML programming language and its templates, and running the front-end with flask web application framework. A database has been made for collecting and storing code snippets.

    • Casual Resource Sharing with Shared Virtual Folders

Uldal, Siri Birgitte (Master thesis; Mastergradsoppgave, 2007-06-15)
Proliferation of wireless networks has been a major trigger behind increased mobility of computing devices. Along with increased mobility come requests for ad-hoc exchange of resources between computing devices as an extension of humans interacting. We termed it casual resource sharing where resources in this thesis have been narrowed down to files only. We have named our casual resource sharing ...
    • Casuar - A Protected Library OS for running Windows applications on top of Vortex

Graff, Erlend Helland (Master thesis; Mastergradsoppgave, 2015-06-15)
Today, virtual machines (VMs) are commonly employed to encapsulate and isolate workloads in the cloud, enabling efficient utilization of hardware resources through the use of statistical multiplexing. Still, there is a significant overhead associated with the use of VMs; each VM instance has to contain a complete OS environment to support the execution of applications that are dependent on the ...

To monitor the changes, small computing devices with sensors and cameras, known as Observational Units, can be used. Using a cluster network of interconnected observational units, so that data can be reported from the ...
    • Cloudless Friend-to-Friend Middleware for Smartphones

Arnes, Jo Inge; Karlsen, Randi (Peer reviewed; Chapter; Bokkapittel, 2019-11-13)
Using smartphones for peer-to-peer communication over the Internet is difficult without the aid of centralized services. These centralized services, which usually reside in the cloud, are necessary for brokering communication between peers, and all communication must pass through them. A reason for this is that smartphones lack publicly reachable IP addresses. Also, because people carry their ...
