Pedersen, IdaAbstract
The purpose of this thesis is to take a closer look at trends in library research, how they have changed over time and what factors might have had an effect on the nature of library research topics and methods. My thesis will be narrowed to the time period from the late 1800s up until today, with a focus on Norwegian and Finnish public libraries. This will be done through a comparative study on library development and library research in these two countries, especially focusing on the similarities and differences in library research through time.
