Sammendrag
Two species diatoms, Porosira glacialis and Coscinodicus radiatus were cultivated under red-, white- or blue light. The biomass from cultivation was extracted for lipids which were subsequently analyzed using UHPLC-MS and the software lipidsearch. The aim was to investigate omega-3 long chain fatty acid content differences in the different cultivations. Findings suggest that blue light cultivation produces more of these fatty acids.
