    • Five-minute Apgar score ≤ 5 and molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) - a case control study

Sidaly, Rivan; Schmalfuss, Andreas Jørn; Skaare, Anne B; Sehic, Amer; Stiris, Tom; Espelid, Ivar (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2016-07-22)
Background: The aetiology of molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) is unclear. The asymmetric distribution of MIH in the dentition may indicate that an insult of short duration that affects ameloblasts at a vulnerable stage could be a causative factor. Apgar ≤ 5 at 5 min may indicate asphyxia (hypoxic-ischemic insult) during birth. It was hypnotised that low Apgar score during birth may cause MIH. ...
    • Fixed appliance & root resorption - possible to predict? : a literature review

Berglund, Iris Hergot; Beck-Hansen, Sesilie (Master thesis; Mastergradsoppgave, 2012-06)
There are many possible causes to external apical root resorption (EARR) as a sequela of orthodontic treatment with fixed appliance. This literature review examines root morphology, age, commonly affected teeth, magnitude of force, continuous versus interrupted forces and duration of treatment, in order to evaluate if root resorption can be predicted. Qualitative analysis of a range of studies in ...
    • Fluoride in the drinking water and dental caries experience by tooth surface susceptibility among adults

    • Fluorprofylakse. Fluorens rolle i odontologien og retningslinjer for bruk i Norge

Bendiksen, Catharina; Valan, Marie Kristine (Master thesis; Mastergradsoppgave, 2015-05-14)

    • Friedman Score in Relation to Compliance and Treatment Response in Nonsevere Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Berg, Lars Martin; Ankjell, Torun Karina Solheim; Sun, Yi-Qian; Trovik, Tordis A; Sjögren, Anders; Rikardsen, Oddveig G; Moen, Ketil; Hellem, Sølve; Bugten, Vegard (Journal article; Tidsskriftartikkel; Peer reviewed, 2020-03-19)
Nonsevere obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is most often treated with a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device or a mandibular advancement splint (MAS). However, patient compliance with these treatments is difficult to predict. Improvement in apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) is also somewhat unpredictable in MAS treatment. In this study, we investigated the association between Friedman tongue ...

    • Future management and possible treatment of halitosis

Tang, Ka Yan (Master thesis; Mastergradsoppgave, 2014)
Halitosis is caused by the release of volatile sulfur compounds. Today, we find endless products in the market that provide long lasting, fresh and minty breath. But how do these products work against halitosis, and a more important question is how effective are they? To discover a possible management, treatment or even cure of halitosis we need to know the causes. Here we focused on oral ...
